Terms of Service
Last updated: October 27, 2026
These Terms of Service explain the basic conditions for using the Taprobyte website and enquiring about or purchasing our services. By using this website, you agree to these terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Taprobyte is the trading name used for our digital services. These terms do not represent that the brand is an incorporated company or a separately registered legal entity.
Our services
We may provide website development, e-commerce solutions, mobile applications, custom software, POS systems, UI/UX and branding, messaging automation, AI-powered solutions, content creation and digital marketing.
The availability, scope and suitability of each service depend on the specific requirements agreed upon for the project. Descriptions on this website are general information and are not a guarantee that a particular feature, result or service will be available.
Enquiries and project agreements
Contacting us through this website, email, WhatsApp or Telegram does not by itself create a project agreement. Before work begins, the relevant parties should agree in writing on the project scope, deliverables, fees, payment schedule, estimated timeline and any other important conditions.
A project proposal or signed agreement may set additional conditions for that project. Where its terms conflict with these website terms, the project agreement will govern the conflicting project-specific matter to the extent permitted by law.
Pricing and payments
Pricing depends on the requirements, complexity and scope of each project. Fees, deposits, payment milestones, applicable taxes and any recurring charges will be communicated and agreed upon before the relevant work begins.
Work outside the agreed scope may require additional fees and an updated timeline. We will discuss the changes with you before proceeding.
Your responsibilities
You are responsible for providing accurate project information, necessary content, timely feedback and required approvals. You must have the appropriate rights or permissions for any text, images, logos, data or other materials you provide.
You must not use our website or services for unlawful activities, infringement of third-party rights, fraud, malicious activity or distribution of harmful software.
Intellectual property and ownership
Ownership and usage rights for project deliverables will be specified in the relevant project agreement. Unless otherwise agreed, the transfer of deliverables that are eligible for transfer may be subject to full payment of the applicable fees.
Third-party software, libraries, fonts, stock assets, plugins and other licensed materials remain subject to their respective licence terms. Pre-existing tools, reusable components and general-purpose development materials may also remain subject to their original ownership and licence conditions.
We will obtain permission before publicly identifying a client or presenting non-public project materials in our portfolio, unless the relevant project agreement provides otherwise.
Third-party services
Projects may depend on third-party providers, including hosting platforms, domain registrars, payment gateways, messaging services and software providers. These services are governed by their own terms, availability and policies.
Third-party fees, account requirements, service interruptions and changes may affect a project. Any responsibilities for third-party accounts, subscriptions, renewals and charges should be agreed upon as part of the project.
Changes, cancellations and support
Changes to an agreed project, cancellations, refunds, handover arrangements and post-launch support will be handled according to the applicable project agreement and relevant law.
Ongoing maintenance, hosting, updates, marketing and technical support are not automatically included unless expressly agreed upon.
Disclaimers and liability
We aim to provide our services with reasonable care. However, this website is provided on an informational basis, and we cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation or specific commercial outcomes.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for losses caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including third-party service failures or information supplied incorrectly by a client. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.
Privacy
Personal information handled through our website and business communications is addressed in our Privacy Policy.
Applicable law and disputes
These terms are intended to be interpreted in accordance with the laws of Sri Lanka, subject to any mandatory legal requirements that apply. Disputes should first be discussed in good faith where practical. Applicable courts and legal procedures will be determined in accordance with relevant law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when our website, services or business practices change. The latest version and revision date will be published on this page. Changes to an existing project agreement will be handled in accordance with that agreement and applicable law.
